Review of Club Mahindra Ashtamudi, Kerala
A must visit!!I stayed at the Mahindra Ashtamudi for 3 nights in July 2014. Had booked a floating 1 BR floating cottage, which is possibly the best option to really enjoy the backwaters. The views in the morning and during sunset are breathtakingly beautiful. Since it was monsoons, it rained too often and it was lovely to hold a cup of coffee and enjoy the rains while keeping my feet up (literally!!). It was a delight and I can do it over again. The sky seems to have merged with the Ashtamudi lake and the sight is still fresh in my mind. The hotel property is perfect to enjoy nature, find peace from the maddening city life and eat the fantastic spread of food. There’s nothing commercial in and around the property so be well aware that you will have to eat at the hotel, which can get a bit expensive but worth the money. Each meal at the floating restaurant was a 1.5 hour affair for me. I soaked in the timelessness of not following a routine and just enjoying the basic things in life: food, and sleep!! Ah bliss!! A must visit!!

On 24th Feb 2015 my friend and I checked into Club Mahindra floating cottage. Very close to Kollam railway station just 35 minutes drive. This beautiful cottages are well-situated by the chinese fishing net. Every cottage had a sea view. Our stay was for 2 nights. The swimming pool is not very big but there were many other activities at the resort. The staff was very nice. We asked for fishing net and within an hour time the staff arranged the fishing net for us. Morning we got to see the best sunrise from our floating cottage window and balcony and we enjoyed watching the fisherman pass by our cottages fishing for their daily bread. However the kitchenette were not there in the floating cottage so we opted for buffet meals at Club Mahindra floating restaurant in the resort itself. We ate a lot of masala fry fish. We love how club mahindra has a variety of food in veg and also non veg however one of the days we found the food was cold but because of the good staff at the resort they took care of that small complaint also. At this foating resort they also had a very lovely spa. The price was little to steep for us and we decided not to go for massage at the spa. The weather was humid and so we were also provided some compact lotion in the room itself. Our overall experience was good and we definitely will visit this resort again namely CLUB MAHINDRA ASHTAMUDI. (floating cottages).

Spectacular Propertty And Service..One of your best.Lovely property, Excellent service, and Mouthwatering food. The only negatives were poor recreational/entertainment activities in the fun zone and a shortage of housekeeping staff.
