Navaratri is celebrated in every home here, with prayers offered to the goddess for nine days and nine nights. However, the celebration is the grandest at the Bhagawati temple in Ratnadurg Fort, where a fair is held every year.The Ganesh Chaturthi celebration in August/ September is one of the biggest festivals of Maharashtra and obviously, Ganpatipule. The celebrations start a day earlier, with the arrival of Gauri, and continue till both mother and son are immersed in the sea, ten days later.
